I am working online or via the telephone. If there is no access to online/telephone mediums, or online/telephone is not suitable due to psychological/emotional reasons, home visits in the Waterlooville/Cosham areas can be arranged. For students requiring face-to-face therapy for their course, home visits in these areas can also be arranged.
I am a qualified online counsellor and have many years' experience of working online or via the telephone as a counsellor and supervisor. Appointments can be offered from as late as 9p.m to accommodate clients whom are parents and have children at home.
Counselling online or via the telephone has the benefits of accessing therapy in the comfort of your own home. There is no travel, no parking and clients have a range of different mediums to choose from, so they can decide which one is best for them. Research by Batastini et al. (2001) shows that online counselling is just as effective as face-to-face therapy.
Online counselling or supervision can be via Skype Webcam, Whats App Video Call or Psychology Today Video Platform. Skype Webcam, Whats App Video and Psychology Today Video Platform are very similar to face-to-face counselling.
I appreciate it can be difficult to make the change to online counselling or the telephone, however my understanding is that once the first session has been experienced, it isn't as nerve racking as initially expected.
So, how about giving online or telephone counselling a try? There is no obligation to continue if after the first session, you feel it is not for you. Give me a call on 07716 124 328 or email email@example.com to see how I can help.
